I was told this huge hole was dug by academics with the consent of scottish heritage and the land owner to re-open george rae's original trenches with a view to mapping the section and obtain new fossil material for research and study.&nbsp;<div>Which to me seems all above board. Except nocky appears to be distraught and that they should not be doing this.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div>]]>
