Hello all,
I am new to the site and thought I would start by sharing some of my finds from Shropshire where I do most of my collecting.
it would be nice to see and hear of other collectors finds from Shropshire

Hello all Thank you for the comments, I have been very lucky in finding a few articulated Dalmanites in the Wenlock area over the years,
as you are probably aware they are notoriously difficult to find complete.
Here is another specimen found more recently

Howdy Wenlock & welcome, great trilobites. I'd love to expand my meagre trilo collection but I'm in Jurassic ammonite country good & proper !

Thanks for the comments
The Dalmanites come from the Coalbrookdale beds along Wenlock Edge.
The Crinoid is rare and was undescribed, it was written up in 2002 by Stephen Donovan, I had a hand in collecting the original specimens and managed to keep this one back for myself,

That is absolutely stunning. I mean really stunning.
As someone who just "picks stuff up", and bashes the crap out of rocks until I find something (usually broken!), can I ask how long it takes to prepare something like your first one? I'm wondering if I might not get into that... in between raising kids, fly-fishing and <.... endless list> |

Welshpool is good but the fauna is a bit limited
Anyway Shropshire is just over the hill from Welshpool so you could always pop in for a look

Unfortunatley I cannot take any credit for the prep work, I don't have the skill or patience to do work that inticate, that is down to a good friend of mine, I will certainly pass on the all the positive comments which will be appreciated
