Hi,
I found this on the beach at sea town a couple of weeks ago.  Does anybody know what it could be.  It appears to be full of fragments of what looks like bone.
best wishes,
Rod

Hi Again,
I should also have said that I have not cleaned it up yet because it is very delicate and it appears that the mud is holding it together.  I would be very interested if anybody had any ideas about how I could clean it up.
best wishes,
Rod

Not bone I don't think. Possibly a large and damaged Ammonite.

Hi Julian,
Thanks for your post, I also thought it could have been an ammonite however, there is no segmentation on it.
best wishes,
Rod

Hello Rod
I agree with Julian - possibly a large damaged ammonite, the trouble is when the mud drys out the peice will probably fall apart.
