It's from the bay east of Watchet. Looks a bit crushed but hoping it will prep well!

In fact looking at the clean break on your piece I expect the rest of the specimen won't be far away

Shale prep so will be easy job. Looking at the bone quality it will be a really nice piece. Probably be some other bones in there too.

I was thinking looks a pleasure to prep, I reckon serious potential on this looking at the various pieces sticking out...

very nice find, i think you'll find that's a right bugger to prep, as the material is very shelly!

I would start with hand tools, get a feel for it.

Thanks for the replys. We searched for hours looking for the other section to no avail.
With regards to prepping it, we are thinking of getting mike m to do it as were not very experienced with prepping bone and we don't want to mess it up if it has the potential of being a good piece.
Will post photos when its done.

You will get a nice result with Mike for sure, just depends how busy he is.

you could always try Craig from www.naturalselectionfossils.com , he's probably half the price of MM and a much quicker turn around.
