Dirty Pete
Still looks like chert/flint from where I'm sitting, micro/cryptocrystalline, curved fracture (conchoidal), white patina, assume its very hard.

Pete.

This appears to be flint.
Flint often formed within and / or around burrows. This may be a portion of burrow.
On the other hand, it may be an area where the flint has re-crystallised to form the shape seen.
Very difficult to determine from the photo alone.
