Hey all 👋

About 30 years ago I went on a school trip to Waterloo Bay in Co. Antrim and I think in total the class collected about 200 fossils, mostly devils toenails and a couple of ammonites.

I went back for the first time yesterday with two very excited kids and spent 3 hours there only to find one devils toenail embedded in so much rock you could barely see it.

We went from the leisure centre to the big old boarded up ruined house.

Were we at the wrong location or just not looking properly? The tide was out and I did a lot of internet research before heading out.
