Hiya,
I found this bone end at Aust last year amongst the pebbles. Hoping its the end of a ichthyosaur or plesiosaur  paddle/limb bone? I would much appreciate any views on this.
Thank you for looking,
Carole

PS sorry about the tape measure - it had a mind of its own

Yes, it looks like the end of a limb bone.

I think it’s the end of an ichthyosaur or plesiosaur femur.

Thank you,
Yes I thought it was. I've been looking at loads of anatomy pictures of ichthyosaur and plesiosaurs. I think it is the head (proximal end ) of a small (juvenile) ichthyosaur humerus. Oh I love finding stuff at Aust. Its often such a puzzle to find out exactly what you've found but all so exciting when you discover what it is (or think it is).
Happy hunting,
Carole
