My 6 year old found this recently on the banks of the river Wye and wonder if it might be of significance?
It's stone so we thought maybe a fossil or maybe a tool as it feels very ergonomic?

I agree with Colin. The first picture would be the important one for us if it was bone as it would show bone's distinct honeycomb structure in the cross section. There is no sign of that here however, it is just a funny shaped rock. Sorry to disappoint.
