Pictures attached show my recent finds, a nice piece of petrified wood, a fossil of what looks like sponge, a very magnetic chunk of rock or meteorite?, a piece of what may be blue opal?, and a chunk of purple crystal or Quartz? Any info that anybody has on these would be greatly appreciated. Where did you find them?

Your purple crystal is indeed quartz. Purple variety is amethyst.
