Found this flint nodule on the beach at Beer.

There are two "tracks" one near top (series of crescents) and one along the bottom (linear markings). Are they burrows or something else? 20200831_135940cropped.jpg

Whilst burrows can be found in flint, I think these are just part of the flint formation.

The top one really does look like a trace fossil such as a bit of Rhizocorallium, though I think it's unusual to find one like that in flint. There was plenty of bioturbation around there though.

The bottom one is hard to see - the layers of cellular looking bits at the right hand end look sponge like.
