Dirty Pete
Aust's been swarming with people lately, I guess it's the nearest thing to a 'beach' for miles. Downstream cliff has been picked clean but found a few falls at the base of the upstream cliff (tourist free).

Came away with a nice vert (Ichthy I think) and a partial Nemocanthus spine.

Thanks for looking

Thanks...
Went again yesterday, rain so back to normal, (just me and a crazy fisherman). No new falls but brought this home purely for its aesthetic value.

Don't see many brown stripey ones. Looks like a 1" fragment of limb bone, Pachystropheus maybe.

Neural arch with spine, presumably Plesiosaur.

Down stream cliff a dead loss but rescued a Plesiosaur tooth today from the upstream cliff, sadly pointless.

Found an interesting bone today. Scouring tide conditions has left the beach unusually clean.
'Text book' Pachystropheus rhaeticus vertebra (3 cm from base of centrum to tip of neural spine).

Amazed it didn't disintegrate.
Thanks for looking

This 5" section of rib drew quite a crowd on the beach today. Should've sold tickets........

Very nice! Looks like there have been some good finds from Aust recently. On my last 2 visits I didn't find anything!

I was lucky today Matthew, there were about 20 people scouring the beach, but fortunately non of them had the first clue what to look for........unfortunately they do now though.....

Spotted today at base of upstream cliff. I don't prep so had to get medieval on it on the beach.

Nice, decent size! Plesiosaur I presume.

Reckon so Matthew, right shape and a couple of foramina on the ventral surface.

Yes, looks like a good one! I found a crisp Ichthy vert tonight but it's in a huge boulder so need to go back when I've got my tools with me.
