  • 20150419_123314_HDR.jpg 20150419_123316_HDR.jpg 20150419_153226_HDR.jpg A trip to Besom Hill near Oldham today, not much there ,a few bits from the Marine layer on the scree slops, very crumbly though......But did find this whopper of a Calamites on a fallen slab , only saw a couple of inches of it at first , then a bit of nifty chisel work revealed a 31 inch whopper ...managed to get 95% of it , a few bits fell into many smaller bits....
