Hi Guys back with my annual ident poser. Spotted this on the cliffs west of branscome devon. As it several metres up the cliff could get no close up images. Boulder approx 3 feet wide. There lots of gypsum present further west. So white surface maybe gypsum. Any ideas on the surface patterns. Cheers

Looks like trace fossils, maybe Chondrites. (Look up "Chondrites ichnofossil" otherwise you get a load of meteorites!)

Many thanks for your id. Had half guessed trace fossil and your id appears a good match.
