Nice finds.  But what is this?

Possibly a crinoid ossicle  from just below the head of the crinoid, there they start to get bigger to merge in with the shape and size of the calyx.

I believe they are crinoid ossicles. I can’t get into work to look out ours but I think that there are some of these oval ones.

Yes there doesn't seem to be much literature on them. Curious if these ossicles make up the bulk of the column or just get like that below the calyx as Gary suggests. Wonder if you can find any articulated ones....??

Good luck,
Pete

Pretty sure further down the stem they are more circular but towards the calyx they change to merge with the shape of the head
