found on Cresswell beach northumberland, its about 3 inches long and 5mm thick, it has a bone type texture to it and distinctive pattern on the inside, it has a small curve as well.

I think it is part of a lepidodrendron, looks like a bark impression. Look up images and I am sure you will be able to see what I mean. Not bone I think

Hello, be careful; some asbestos containing pipe looks very similar to this...I hope I am wrong...

As long as  you dont chip or break it it should be safe, i would put it back where you found it or dispose of it at a refuse site
