Hello. I live reasonably close to the chalk pits but was hoping someone with more experience might offer me some advice on finding fossils there. What band is most productive? Should I be splitting the larger rocks? Etc. Google searches haven't revealed a lot of info. Thanks in advance

Hello Matt and welcome to the forum. It's a big pit, lots of grey / whte chalk and in my one and only visit 20 years ago I didn't find much except for a nice shark tooth and some Inoceramus bts along the left hand d side as you go in.

Just got back. Would've loved to find a sharks tooth but just managed a few shell imprints and bivalves. Took a lot of searching.
