I very much doubt it will be a collecting site due to the unique fossils, very much like the Burgess shales. I dress to think what damage could be done and scientific information lost and fossils being sold on the black market.

I do not think it is a shame. What I think is a shame that someone even thinks that such an important site might be fair game to collect from. Responsible collectors would be thrilled that such a site has been found with absolutely no thought of it being open for amateur collectors.
