I found this many years ago as a child on a beach somewhere in Wales, the exact location is lost in my memory. I recently found it amongst my things and wondered if it could be identified. It looks like a waterworn fragment of an ammonite, something like this:

Your ammonite would have been from somewhere along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast where the Jurassic meets the sea.
