Trilo(bite my ride!)
hi dream weaver, no worries at all I did think not all of these finds were fossils.
I was dubious about the crab pincer because there was no serrated edge.
I will put up my interesting Hasting finds later today which inc. bones, I also have Eastbourne finds and Girvan area finds to list soon-ish, alas no complete trilobites;-but I hope to have better luck when I go back to Shropshire for 4 days in just under 3 weeks from now.

Strangely I only found one/complete ammonite on the day a lovely little one which I promptly dropped out of my hand never to be seen again...doh!

Dream Weaver

Hi Trilo!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but although it's hard to be 100% certain from small pics, I'd say most of the more exotic stuff you've found isn't quite as 'exotic' as your descriptions... Sorry...

"Bone Fragment" doesn't look like bone to me.

"Crab Pincer" is a nodule.

"Crab Carapace" looks more like a partial ammonite.

"Fish Vertebra and Bone" look like tubeworms (the 'vert' being an external part of a large tubeworm shell, and the 'bone' being an internal mould of a smaller version of the same).

"Fish Finy Thingy" looks like a partial ammonite imprint.

Hope I'm wrong on all counts -  or at least some - but I suspect not...
I think, therefore I am; I drink, therefore I'm no longer sure...
