Hi All

Finally got round to a bit of weeding because Lock-down is driving me crazy. I'm coming across a large number of the stones in the pictures below and to me they look like fossilised bones. Perhaps you can put me right please??

Not bones I'm afraid looks like flint/chert. You get sponges in flint these may be the shapes left behind. Not an expert on flint but as I said not bones.

All I would add is that most of those bits appear to be nodular flint. These probably formed in, and took on the shape of the burrows of animals living within the chalk seabed.
