Hi All,

i came across this item when weeding this week in Herts. It reminded me of a tooth, or is it just the flint from a ‘nodule’?

thanks

Dirty Pete
Hi,
I'm afraid that looks like a bit of flint with a point at one end.....

Pete.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Yes, as Pete says it's flint, but I have a hunch that this is of Archaeological interest, in that althoughit is qite smoothe now, it may have had bits flaked off it in the past. This is called a 'flint core'.  Incidentally, the flint formed 70 - 85 million years ago!
