Hi everyone,
I was happy to find a few fossils on my first attempt. This one I particularly liked, so I took it home.
Can somebody please point me in the right direction as to what this was?
Many thanks, James.  20200729_182905.jpg

Hello, this looks like a small ammonite with some nodulisation on the center. One of the pro`s in Lyme may be able to remove the nodulisation and free the center; but you have no garantee that it will be preserved well...
By the looks of it, may well be an Arnioceras sp.

greets, Bert
the search is as valuable as the finds...

yes an ammonite, probably worth the risk of trying to  hip out the centre with a small chisel.

Hi all
To me it looks like a very worn imprint of an ammonite, the part of a nodule with the cast of the shell, so to speak
