Found these on a walk with the kids on our local beach at Eastchurch. Any ideas as to what they could be? Was thinking petrified wood but not 100% sure.

I don’t have a ruler, I’m useless like that. Have added a 10p for scale if that helps. Also that’s a single sheet of kitchen roll they are on.

Hi, looks like a whole swag of pyrite nodules/lumps. Like flint, pyrite can take on a myriad of shapes.

Yes you do have wood and a few which are just pyrite nodules,
