Hello, may well be a vert, but I do not think it is Ichty...no conical dimple. Also the color is unusual for bone from the Alum shale.
Could it be from the Saltwick formation layer higher up? Then in would be dino...

Yep...at first I thought it was a plesi vert..but evidently not. Yes the colour is different to smaller verts I've found.  It was lying on the shale foreshore so it could have  come from quite high up.

I could be totally wrong here but it could be a pliosaur vert? It's definitely a vert of some description but looks a bit odd for iccy...
