Afternoon all

I am going to start some work on a nice double ammo from Monmouth beach, but one part of the lump has broken off. (I miss hit the lump on the beach reducing the weight)
What I am after is a recommendation for some glue to adhere the two halve together. I want to keep a strong seal and something that will last.

Cheers

Gary

Hello Gary I and at least 2 other preparators use "Marble Adhesive". It isn't cheap and I have only seen it in tins of about 2kg! The tin is blue with white writing on it. I think it's made in China. O do have a supplier's phone number but have a look round first. Don't forget to get big enough G clamps as well!

Any two component Epoxy glue or even super glue will do the trick.
Best wishes from the Lake of Constance. Roger.

Cheers for the reply's.

Roger, i usually use epoxy and super glue on my ammos but had a feeling I needed something more reliable and sturdy on these ones. I will have a mooch around for the marble adhesive Colin and see what is what.

Thanks

Gary

Roger - true, but I have found it to be the best - it is recomended for many types of rock.
