I am looking to replace my Led Lenser H7 headtorch that I use when out fossil hunting in the dark and so far have a few candidates - a couple of other Lensers and a Fenix.

Some models have filters that can be attached or are built in and I remember reading somewhere about UV light showing up vertebrate fossils well. I wondered if anyone has experience of this or of using filtered light (eg/ red, green) when out collecting?

P.s hope I am not the only looney who collects under torchlight!
