Hi Jww,
That looks like a sedimentary structure rather than a fossil. Something like a sole mark (a cast of a depression in an underlying bed).

Hello Jww and welcome to the forum. Firstly, where was this found? I think I see part of a fossil which I have indicated on the photo below. I agree with Pete about the the rest of the nodule. Please could you add a scale (a ruler is best ) to all photos.If you could reveal a bit more of the annotated area, and give us more nformation it might help.

Suggest a coal measure deposit (fluvial sandstone?) with sole mark, sadly I see no fossil.
