Hi there,
Could any one help with this fossil found at lyme Regis. My partner thinks it's possibly a pyritised tooth (which in all fairness it does look like. But I'm doubtful, thinking a squashed solitary coral. I thought I'd put it to the heads on this forum as you haven't failed me yet!!!!  IMG-20200902-WA0002.jpg  IMG-20200902-WA0003.jpg  IMG-20200902-WA0001.jpg  IMG-20200902-WA0000.jpg it's sizing is 2cm x 1cm
Thanks
Bas

Hello Bas, it looks like a random Pyrite pebble to me but might have started out as a brachiopod.

I agree with Colin, all i see is a Pyrite Nodule/fragment. Sorry to disappoint.

Thanks guys, the other half isn't too happy, but I did have a feeling it wasn't a tooth!
