Sorry - didn't realise they were different specmens. Please annotate explain each photo ( 1a, 1b etc. Old fogies like me get confused and I do look at tens of specimens on here and other sites (in my defence)!

The first is just a piece of rolled flint I'm afraid, but the second one looks like it could be a flint sponge.
