Hi all,
This rock looks very glassy and is rock hard. I dropped it on the floor and it nearly broke my floor not the rock. It has many inclusions and an outside that looks like it almost has a circular pattern, like a lizard pattern. Could it be obsidion? I've posted dry and wet pics to better see.🤔 20200911_150953.jpg  20200911_151455.jpg  20200911_151509.jpg  20200911_151636.jpg  20200911_151723.jpg  20200911_151736.jpg  20200911_151749.jpg

I’ve looked up serpulid worms!🧐very unusual things but I’ve learnt something today, Thank you😁Do you have any idea how old it could be?

Assuming this is flint and it looks it, then it is eroded out of the chalk and is 80 - 90 million years old. Serpulid worms are stll living organisms today but will be found on top of the rock - can be confusing.

Wow, thank you! Just an ordinary flint pebble is actually quite awesome👌I’m a rock nerd so always think about what was going on at the time it started to form🤓 the rainforest was only just beginning and dinosaurs were still roaming the earth🦕🦖so underrated.
