Hi, I'm new to all this and would like some help please. Can anyone tell me if I'm right in saying that these are piece of stigmaria, and if it is, is it a good find. Thanks

Hi and welcome

Can you say where it was found and include a scale in your photos.
A close up of any surface detail always helps.
If you do an internet search for lepidodendron you should find a match. Of course different parts of the same tree have different names.
Have fun finding out.
