Hi,
On flint fossils here is a neat one I got from my nans field, quite nice to look at.

Also, I was sorting through my random stuff and in a rock from Lyme Regis i noticed something unusual, not sure what it is. On here it doesn't shine, but in normal view it shines a little bit, and not sure what it is?

Thanks, Charlie.

Hi, I am not sure what this is? I found it in my nans field again and it looks like a section of an ammonite. It is preserved in flint.

Hi Charlie

Could it be a banded flint?

Thanks

Oh yeah didn't think of that, it probably is. Silly me!

Agree with Andrew on this, i believe flint ammos are rather uncommon, though having said that you seem to have an eye for that stuff .
Thanks

Thanks, you can just imagine what it looks like in a field, worth a shot of taking it back and having a look! Some reason I have started getting into Flint fossils, especially ones in my nans fields, I have found different ones recently to ones I have found before.

Definitely, i think flint fossils are really cool, my best one is probably an imprint of the brachiopod, Isocrania sp.
Thanks
