Hi everyone, I found this large pebble on Seatown beach a few weeks ago, and just wondered what your thoughts were as to what the structure is in the middle. My husband says that the pebble is jurassic limestone and it does not scratch. Not sure if it is some kind of shell or ribs from a fish. Thanks IMG_20180812_161203[1].jpg  IMG_20180812_161347[1].jpg

I think you're probably right with a broken bit of bivalve shell. I could be totally wrong but it looks suspiciously silicious so am thinking it may be a pebble from the Upper Greensand or Gault.
Hopefully you'll get some other suggestions...
