I don’t think it’s bone but doesn’t just look like stone either. Might be some other fossil.

Hello Melissa, this looks like part of a VERY worn ammonite. The scale - your lighter is OK but information as to where things are found is very important. I think I see ribs in the 1st photo and sutures in the last.

Was found on Runswick beach and I wasnt sure if it was a worn ammonite but thought it was possible, I really am new to this and have no idea how to identify bone so I thought I'd ask.
