Gandalf the White
These fossils are from Italy and have been found in the north east of the Dolomites in the mountains. Please may you tell me if they are fossils or just pretty limestone formations or fossils. If they are fossils can you identify them if possible please.the first three pictures were found next to a massive block of stone with Dino foot prints in it in the scree like limestone gravel. The forth was found close by to the first and the rest were from another mountains scree many miles away west from the first. Hi, the first 3 photos might be a fossil, but I am not familiar with the area, The rest look like geological specimens, but I am clueless as to what they are. Please see your post about specimens from Yaxley.

I agree with Colin, the rest are mineralizations (maybe calcite or dolomite?)
As for the first three pics, they could be Triassic bivalves related to Megalodon

Are the first 3 photos of the same fossil? Looks like a partial cast of a gastropod.
