My best shark skull fossil find ever! Found last month in the Hastings Beds. The skull is 3D preserved showing orbits and an amazing set of teeth. There is much more detail to be uncovered, as I intend to have this fossil fully prepped. So here are some images showing the fossil in its pre-prepped state. I will post up some more pics when the job is complete.
Right lateral side showing large orbit - eye socket.

That is going to be a very complicated preparation! Are you going to try it yourself, or giving it to a profi to do?
Best wishes from the Lake of Constance. Roger.

Doggerfan: I do love a good challenge!! And since I have considerable experience prepping fossils from this locality, having prepped fully articulated Lepidotes specimens and dinosaur bones. I'm going to have a go at doing this one as well, take a small area at a time. I have had a careful look, and there are certain areas that are probably best left as they are. So hopefully, not a big job as initially thought.
