Visited King's Dyke and Yaxley today.
Some nice ammonites from King's Dyke Nature Reserve(ie.applied for access permit). As for Yaxley, unfortunately there was recent evidence(foot prints on the mud, broken clay blocks) of fossil hunting and the findings were slim(a couple of tiny pyritic ammonites, tube worms, gryphea, belemnites).

King's Dyke Nature Reserve Fossil hunting area. Good amount of shale and nodules to look through for fossils. Flat complete ammonites, broken belemnites common.
Did not manage to find any marine reptile remains but with fresh spoils from the working quarry this site has a lot of potential.
Would love to see any of the Uk fossils member's finds from King's Dyke.

Hi,
Thanks for sharing your finds. The plesiosaur tooth and the last belemnite look very nice. I did see a lot of broken belemnites at King's Dyke but not complete ones as large as yours.

Hi Fossil Hunter, here is a belemnite that I have found several of in the past from rock that has been imported for the public area
so I'm not sure which pit it's from. Belemnopsis bessina.

Normal colouration! The photos wre taken over 15 years ago and I didn't have an editor then! One day I'll re-edit!
