My first attempt to get a cross-section of a coral for id purposes. Not bad considering primitive tools (angle grinder and a bit of sanding) + image taken using my phone and a macro lens. Corralites are about 4mm across, cerioid, Carboniferous age. I think it's Lithostrotion but don't yet know enough to go to species level.
