yeah i don't see a fossil in here but i think the rock itself is flint

Thank you, speaking of flint this glass sparks when trying to wire brush it to clean, any ideas please was found amongst the fossils it looks like glass slag but why would it spark?? Also slightly magnetic as in magnet pull but very weak, thanks

Assume your steel brush is sparking off residual iron & silica in the slag, must be there if it's magnetic and that brown stuff is rust (iron oxide). Might even be generating some static sparks but you'd have to ask a physicist about that. Not much flint in the West Mids so reckon the lizard's another odd shaped Triassic quartz/quartzite pebble
