Hi, Found a large (about 20cm long) piece of shell at Runswick Bay in a nodule, along with some small ammonites. The pieces at the top are the corresponding half.
Thanks

Hello, you have found piece of a large ammonite: Phylloceras heterophylum.
Sometimes you can find small ammonites in it, wich were washed into the bodychamber.

Thanks for the ID! I wasn't sure due to the size. The whole animal must have been at least 50cm across. Shane I could only find part of it :)
