Since these boards are still relatively empty why don't we try and kick things of with a request; I am intrested in micro matrix from the Isle of Wight in particular the L9 plant debris bed by Grange chine but plant debris beds in the Wealden in general also required if anyone would like to PM and maybe we could come to a deal

Many thanks

Hi GK
Many years ago we went on holiday to the Isle of Wight, part of all of our holidays involves fossils and collecting.
On this occasion a friend asked me to get her some material as we walked past the area at Yarvaland on our way to Culver cliff.
I do not know the bed name or the type of micro fossils she was looking for all I was asked was can you please get me some of the red, blue, purple mud about half way to culver cliff.
Shortly after she gave up fossiling and the matrix has stood under my rock saw table for a few years now.
It has long since dried out and it is hard to see its colour but I recon what was in it is still in it.
Please pm me if you are interested.
