Well, this morning I wasn't sure what it was either so we've both learned something today. Tomorrow I hope to learn what it's like to discover a monster ichthyosaur but I'll probably settle for a few decent miniature ammonites.

Cheers, I've seen similar but smaller bits in the past and ignored them, but this one seemed worth bending down for.

Nice peice. I've found lots of crinoid pebbles along the beach recently. Not like that but broken up crinoids in stone. Mainly cross sections of the stem
