Hi all found this mystery object today on isle of wight , it is obvious bone and appears to have small teeth all over it, can anyone help me identify it please? Thanks in advance. Does not look like a choc scute or even croc jaw.

Found this diagram on images of Amia skull and jaw. Take a look anď see what you think.

Has outer row of longer teeth and smaller ones inside. Could be a possible match, at least it is somewhere to start. I would say jaw of some sort of fish.

Hi brilliant thanks both for your replys, I habe collected alot of croc and turtle secures and I habe to say I don't think it is one of them I think the possibility of a fish jaw is a really good one it certainly looks a good match , thanks very much for your info :)

Personally I would say it is pre-max or lower dentary of a very small Diplocynodon hanteonensis. The jaw isn't right for Amia
