Scrumpy
Hi everyone
Is there away I could restore this nautilus
A friend found it and put a bloody hammer to it 😤😤😤. As you can see from the photos it’s badly damaged and badly glued back together.. what can I use to fill in the crack and the section missing in pic 3
As I’ve said it’s been glued but I think I can split this again
Or is this something a preparer could do?

Rob, IMHO you would be best to seek out a professional preparator near you.

Hi Rob, do you know wich type of glue was used?
Looking at the photo`s I think you could best strenghten the outside and cut/polish this nautilus after you filled the gap or reglued the specimen.

greetings, Bert
the search is as valuable as the finds...

Why would he hit it with a hammer? [confused]
Mark will do a great job, looking forward to seeing it.
