Hi Jon,

You too, I met yourself and few other great local people, very good trip.

We walked round to Runswick bay, took us about 4 hours, with a lot of great finds on the way, my 5 year old found the best by a long way...

Found plenty of ammonites and a piece with bone in, I'm currently working on it so will show once I've finished it.

during our visit we went to Port Mulgrave, Runswick bay, Kettleness, Whitby and Marske.

I will post pics in a few days.

Hi All,

I'm heading to Runswick this weekend for our annual north Yorkshire visit, can't wait...

Has anyone had any good finds over whitby - Port mulgrave areas?

Will anyone be there this weekend, I'll be there from Sat to Thursday, if you wanna meet up, always good to meet new people.

No major finds recently but you should do okay.
I live here in Whitby all the time so I will be somewhere about.

Maybe no major finds as Byron says but to us amateurs there are still nice things to find, I attach a few pics of some finds I had in one visit to Port Mulgrave, one off the harbour beach area(it was a hot Saturday morning and I decided to walk around to Staiths with nothing much to show for it). Hope you have a good trip.

Hi Neil,
good to meet you all on Sunday.
The weather was excellant we spent about six hours on the beach and managed a good haul of ammonite nodules, but unfortunatly mostly too worn.
Did find a couple of bits of fish bone though and a small bit of jet.
How did the walk to Runswick go?
Jon
