Hi becca74 and welcome.

You've not indicated the scale, but it's definitely a fossil sea urchin, probably Cretaceous or Jurassic (I don't know the geology for the area you found it in, but Google it to find out).

I found it in the french alps at around 600m of altitude. The fossil measures around 3cm across.
