Hi, I found this on Rock-a-nore beach on Monday. Looks like it still has organic matter inside?! Thanks, so the bits inside are what's left of the sponge?

Hi
Often the sponge is the bits inside the flint.
But if this is Porosphaera, then the whole thing is the sponge

Rum & Raisin
Good Evening.
Sorry this 'post' isn't a reply or offer of help with a 'find', but we just wanted to say that we have been in fits of laughter all evening after reading the comment "never ask a starfish for directions". That is so funny & very much our type of humour, thank you for making us laugh so much, just what we needed :0)
