This has finally come up for prep. Should be done tomorrow. Apparently it's coming on quite well and it's a really good sized vert. Pyrite is making it a bit slower than usual though. Dead excited to finally see it.

I found this today. Was on Charmouth beach hardly ten minutes when I picked it up. I've been trying to work out what it is. Comparing it to this thread http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/20407-plesiosaur-bones-for-joe/

I believe it to be a vert. I'm more or less certain it's plesi. Do you agree it's a vert?

Hi Koss,
Looks like an ichthyosaur vert to me at the moment. You will know better when you start to prep it!

Took it to get prepped and was told it was likely ichty.

A good find . Hope you wasn't too upset by it not being Plesiosaur. One will turn up one day!

I heard on the grapevine in the past few months that one and maybe even two spectacular plesi finds had been made on the Jurassic coast. If its true then its all been kept hush hush

I have found a fair few plesi bones, it's true. One of them being particularly rare.

I love finding plesiosaur bones so I was a little bit disappointed, but an ichty vert of this size is still a fantastic find. Looking forward to seeing it prepped.
