Hi there, found this on Whitstable beach and wondered if it was a tooth of some sort? Bit longer than a 5p coin. Doesn’t look like the shape of sharks teeth so curious as to what it could be from if a tooth. Many thanks D001BF64-3BBA-4FE1-967B-8B6229EBE1CF.jpeg  E0BF1A5C-3A0B-4789-B880-ABC095D04837.jpeg  73AB5EEB-A234-4613-84C9-3CEC1DABD719.jpeg  931E7437-50E6-49D9-B8D9-4EF2CE94BC2A.jpeg

I dont think it is a tooth but looks like a piece of bone.  Is it mineralised ?  If so could be pleistocene if not probably modern.

Thanks very much for the replies. How would I know if it’s mineralised?

It would be heavier (more dense ) than modern bone.
