Hello and welcome to the forum. This is not my area, so I will leave ID to someone who can help you but we need more information about the 'fossil', where it was found etc.

It does look a bit like bone but I'm doubtful, how heavy is it ?

My first thought was wood when i saw it, but its hard to tell. I second more information- where was it found, and if you know the type of rock age/type/geology in the area it was found this would help too.

Gary w,
I haven't measured the weight, but I've found I modern day bone aswel, and you can tell the difference between them in waight and in looks

It was found at the opal coast in France near Calais, it is definitely not wood, it got bone structures inside, I can send a extra photo as reference.
And the bone wasn't really in any setement, got washed ashore.
I hope this could help a bit more with finding out what it eventually could be.

When i said it looked like wood i wasn't identifying it, i was just saying i would have probably thought it was driftwood and ignored it! XD If it washed up on beach it is very unlikely to be a fossil.. I don't think they float, although i am sure somebody here will correct me if i am wrong! If it did wash up and it looks like a bone then it is most likely just a bone! Cool find though if you are into this type of thing, i'd have kept it! :-)

I've got some real bone aswel, and you can really feel the difference between the bones.
I'm pretty sure it was washed up at the beach, because I found it between some rocks, It maybe was hidden in the sand, but I doubt it, and I doubt I'm going to find out what it is on this platform, but I stil love this site tho😁.

Texture difference may just be down to location. The bone looks weathered in the pictures, presumably from sand/sea. It will look and feel very different to a bone you would find on land. Still cool though.

Just on the shape & dimensions, looks like a well-weathered tibia to me, with the joints either end eroded away. Could be modern sheep (based on size) or could be something older. Very difficult to tell - recent bone that's been in the sea for a few years can end up feeling a lot denser than normal, as if partially mineralised.
